Call for applications:
ERASMUS+ SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS TO STUDY ONE SEMESTER AT UNIVERSITY OF MALTA
Bachelor students of Beijing Foreign Studies University can apply for a 5 months ERASMUS+ scholarship to study in the second semester of the academic year 2017/18 at University of Malta.
The ERASMUS+ grant covers travel costs (up to 1100 EUR for a two-way ticket to Malta) and individual support (staying cost amounting to 750 EUR per month). Students with special needs can apply for an additional grant in order to cover the extra costs which may incur during the Erasmus+ mobility.
In which department of University of Malta the mobility will be carried out?
BFSU students can be hosted at the following departments:
-Oriental Studies (Chinese Language)
-International Relations
-European Studies
-Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies
-Italian
How to participate?
Before applying, it is highly recommended to verify the correspondence of courses between University of Malta and BFSU.

Which are the linguistic requirements to participate?
Candidates should have an upper intermediate knowledge of English (B2 level) on the Common European Framework of Language Reference[1].
When the mobilities will take place?
All mobilities will take place in the second semester of the academic year 2017/18.
Deadline
Candidates shall submit the full list of documents by October 10th, 2017.
Documents must include:
- an up-to-date curriculum vitae in English;
- a cover letter in English, between 500 and 600 words, stating the reasons for applying to the program;
- a full academic transcript in English indicating the exams taken during the current degree;
- a copy of passport.
Applicants are encouraged to attach any document they deem relevant for their application, especially language certificates.
Evaluation of the applications
The applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Academic merit
- Motivation and proposed study plan
- Language skills:
Students in a situation of social disadvantage are encouraged to apply and provide the documents certifying it.
